Phytosanitary certificate
    • 1. Apply for consignment inspection to the Plant Health Services Sector (PHS)
    • 2. Pay inspection fees for the consignment to be inspected
    • 3. Submit the bank receipt and obtain the government receipt
    • 4. Appointment for inspection will be settled
    • 5. Consignment inspection will be conducted
    • 6. Apply for phytosanitary certificate from PHS
    • 7. Pay fees at NMB for phytosanitary certificate fee and
    • 8. Obtain Government receipt after delivery of the bank receipt
    • 9. Obtain phytosanitary certificate from PHS
    • • Application letter (original)
    • • Government receipt (original) for inspection fees
    • • Plant Import permit (Simple copy)
    • • Stamped packing list (Simple copy)
    • • Additionally, permit for certain regulated businesses are required such as: Cashewnuts export permit, Tea export permit etc.
    • Phytosanitary certificate
    • • Payment of Phytosanitary Certificate fee in Tanzania Shillings which is equivalent to 15 $ (US Dollar) per consignment
    • • If the consignment is 1 ton or less is charged in Tanzania Shillings which is equivalent to 2 $ (US Dollar) per consignment
    • • If the consignment is more than 1 ton but not less than 1,000 tons is charged in Tanzania Shillings equivalent to 2 $ + (No. of tones x 0.20$) per consignment
    • • If the consignment is more than 1,000 tons is charged in Tanzania Shillings equivalent to 2 $ + (No. of tones x 0.1$) per consignment Treatment supervision per consignment
    • • USD 100 the fee is paid when pests or signs of pests is observed in the consignment. Fee may be more, depending on the number of consignment
    • • USD 0 - USD 24 per Consignment, Price for destruction of materials or Packaging material related to plant product when pests or signs of pests is observed in the consignment. Fee may be more depending on destruction cost.
    • • 01 to 02 working days for inspection
    • • 01 to 02 working days for phytosanitary permit issuance
