    • 1. The prospective importer shall be registered by Tanzania Meat Board as Livestock Importer

    • 2. The prospective importer should apply for the Import Permit from to the Director of Veterinary Services, MLF Development (issued prior to animal, animal products importation)

    • 3. Animal should be certified to be physically health (at a time of import) by competent authority (Reg. Vet from a Registered facility)

    • Company Registration Certificate & Business license from BRELA
      View Step
    • TIN Certificate and Tax Clearance Letter from TRA
      View Step
    • Certificate of origin from the exporting country
      View Step
    • Bill of landing from the importer or C & F agent
      View Step
    • Profoma invoice from the exporter
      View Step
    • Live Animals Import Permit.
      View Step
    • TMB registration 152,000 and retention 100,000
      View Step
    • Small animals like goats, sheep, pigs, cat, rabbit, dog TZS 5000 per animal
      View Step
    • Large animals like cattle, horse, camel, donkey each costs TZS 20,000
      View Step
    • Poultry, Wild birds TZS 5,000 per each
      View Step
    • Amphibian, Reptiles TZS 10,000 per animal

    • 01 to 03 working days for live animal import permit
