Import of Meat and Meat products
    • 1. The prospective importers should register with Tanzania Meat Board as meat industry stakeholder.
    • 2. The importer should apply for import clearance certificate from Tanzania Meat Board
    • 3. The prospective importer should apply to the Director of Veterinary Services for import permit
    • 4. The prospective importer should apply to TFDA for import permit through the online portal
    • Company Registration Certificate & Business license from BRELA
    • TIN Certificate and Tax Clearance Letter from TRA
    • Veterinary health certificate from exporting country
    • Atomic Energy Authority inspection certificate
    • Certificate of origin from the exporting country
    • Import clearance certificate from Tanzania Meat Board
    • Certificate of Conformity from TBS
    • Business Permit from TFDA
    • Bill of lading/airway bill from the importer or C & F agent
    • Profoma invoice from the Supplier (Consignee)
    • Certificate of analysis from the competent regulatory body from the exporting country
    • Radiation free certificate from the exporting country
    • Zoosanitary certificate
    • Meat Board Certificate from TMB
    • Certificate of Origin from the exporting country
    • Clearance certificate, TMB
    • Import Permit, DVS
    • Import Permit, TFDA
    • 152,000/= initially and retention fee of 100,000/= every year for Tanzania Meat Board as meat industry stakeholder.
    • 2% of F.O.B value for every consignment imported to TMB for import clearance certificate
    • TZS 0 for Import Permit, DVS
    • TFDA Fees: Refers to fees and charges regulation, 2015
    • 01 to 03 working days for import permit, DVS
    • 01 to 03 working days for certificate of clearance, TMB
    • 01 to 02 days for registered product, Up to 25 days for non-registrable product after receiving pre-shipment sample, TFDA
