On Wednesday, 13th March 2024, the CTI delegation led by the Executive Director Eng. Leodegar Tenga, accompanied by the CTI’s immediate past Chairman, Dr. Samwel Nyantahe, and the secretariat paid a courtesy visit to our esteemed member, Lodhia Industries producers of steel and plastic who are located at Kisemvule to witness a 60 million US dollar investment in an iron steel factory.
Lodhia Industries has now expanded to 120 acres from 30 acres in 2015 and has invested over $60 million US to build a galvanizing factory in the region, which is anticipated to begin manufacturing roofing sheets in May and create more than 500 direct jobs.
So far, they have invested 45 million US dollars in the reinforcement bars factory and plastic products and facilitated more than 2,000 direct jobs.
CTI Executive Director, Eng. Leodegar Tenga further noted that the investment made by Lodhia Industries is a testament to the company's commitment to the development of the region and the country at large. He also commended the company for its efforts in creating job opportunities and contributing to the growth of the economy.

The CTI delegation also took the opportunity to tour the factory and was impressed by the quality of the products being produced. They also expressed their appreciation for the company's efforts in promoting sustainable development and environmental conservation.
The visit to Lodhia Industries was a successful one, and the CTI delegation left with a renewed sense of pride in the achievements of their members. They pledged to continue supporting Lodhia Industries and other members in their quest to contribute to the growth and development of the region and the country.
