Clearance Procedures at the Airport (Inward)
  • Steps
    • 2. C & F agent lodge custom’s release order and delivery order at TAA’s Revenue Office
    • 3. C & F agent collects Invoice from Ground handler (GH)
    • 4. C & F agent pays relevant charges to GH’s bank account and obtain receipt for payment made
    • 5. C & F agent announces vehicle for delivery
    • 6. Vehicle proceed to gate and driver produces valid driving licence and vehicle registration card to TAA’s gate attendants and obtain gate-in ticket
    • 7. Vehicle proceeds to loading point and loads cargo
    • 8. TAA receives gatepass for loaded vehicle and vehicle proceeds to check point for inspection and other gate-out formalities
    • 9. Vehicle proceeds to exit gate, obtains gate-out ticket to exit airport gate
  • Inputs
    • • Power of Attorney – document authorizing the freight forwarder to act in behalf of the owner
    • • Analysis/inspection certificates (where applicable)
    • • Duty/Tax Exemption Documents
    • • Certificate of origin if required
    • • Release Order from Customs, TRA
    • • Pre arrival declaration (PAD), Customer, C & F Agent
    • • Commercial invoice, GH
    • • Cargo Manifest, GH
    • • Import Permit, GH & TRA
    • • Bill of lading, GH & TRA
    • • Packing list, GH & TRA
  • Outputs
    • Clearance Letter/Permit of the Imported Cargo
  • Cost
    • • USD 0.06 handling charges per kilogram. Minimum charge for consignment is USD 15 or
    • • USD 3.74 concession fee for Airport Authority
    • • USD 0.03 storage charges per kilogram. Minimum is 15 USD per consignment
  • Duration
    • • 07 to 10 working days for Cargo Manifest processing
    • • 01 to 02 working days for Release order
    • • 01 to 02 working days for delivery order
    • • 05 to 20 minutes for payments at the bank
