Clearance Procedures at the Airport (Outward)
Steps
1. C & F agent receives Released Shipping Order from TAA
2. Airport officer processes Invoice for relevant airport charges
3. C & F agent effect payments at GH’s
4. Vehicle proceeds to gate, obtains gate-in ticket and enters the airport
5. Vehicle proceeds to receiving point in the airport
6. Cargo offloading process at storage area and/or loaded directly
7. Empty vehicle obtains gate-out ticket and exit airport gate
Inputs
• Cargo Manifest
• Release Order from Customs
• Invoice – Payment- Receipt
• Packing list
• Duty/Tax Exemption Documents
• Export Permit
• Certificate of origin from the import country if required
• Analysis/inspection certificates
Outputs
Clearance Letter/Permit of the exported cargo
Cost
• USD 0.06 handling charges per kilogram. Minimum charge for consignment is USD 15 or
• USD 0.12 handling charges for valuables
• USD 0.03 storage charges per kilogram. Minimum is 15 USD per consignment
Duration
• 07 to 10 working days for Cargo Manifest processing
• 01 to 02 working days for Release order
• 01 to 02 working days for delivery order
• 05 to 20 minutes for payments at the bank
